The classic Big Muff gain stage, with the Chaos Drive’s Tone & Contour controls and output section. The end result is a powerfully voiced take on the classic fuzz with pulverizing low end and output volume.

CONTROLS

SUSTAIN - The classic Big Muff Sustain knob has been slightly modified to stay present and clear throughout the gain range. This means that the whole range is useable without feeling dull, while the Sustain knob works to bring in the thickness and fuzz intensity.

TONE - Dials in the amount of high end / treble content. Don't be afraid to turn it all the way up for the most intensity.

LEVEL - While the nature of this control is rather obvious, how hard you hit your amp with the LEVEL will greatly impact the tone you achieve with this pedal. The CHAOTIC WOUND has a lot more low end than many pedals and can potentially overwhelm your amp with too much of a good thing, depending on your rig. This is similar to the diminishing returns of turning an amp's volume up beyond what it wants to produce. Try playing some heavier chords, or simply chugging the lower strings while dialing this relationship in.

CONTOUR - This control is the heart of what makes the CHAOTIC WOUND a unique approach to the muff sound - it exerts a strong control over the shape of the midrange. Don’t be afraid to crank it all the way up as well!

Standard 'Boss-style' 9V DC Power with a Center Negative tip.
Do not exceed 9V.
No option for battery power.
