IMMACULATE RAPTURE! delivers flexible and aggressive tones for bass guitar.
IMMACULATE RAPTURE! has an extreme range of distortion on tap, an EQ that has been fine-tuned for bass, and a powerful level of control over pick attack and midrange dynamics.
ATTACK - For aggressive base tones, the feeling of the pick attack and dynamics of the mid range can be critical. The ATTACK knob gives you a new level of control over the compression and clipping of that frequency range.
Turned all the way down the attack is at its most compressed and distorted. If the desired result is to shave off percussive pick sounds and create a brick wall of distortion those sounds can be found lower attack settings.
As the ATTACK knob is turned up the dynamics increase to a point where you can physically feel the pick attack striking the string.
Meanwhile, the low end frequencies are always more dynamic and open and less compressed, so no matter where you set the attack knob the low end will always feel big and thunderous.
Note: As you might expect, reducing the compression of the higher frequencies also means they get louder so it can be expected to potentially need to adjust the MIDDLE and TREBLE EQ while adjusting ATTACK settings.
DISTORTION - The gain ranges from overdrive to an over-the-top sonic assault.
VOLUME - Output level of the pedal.
THREE BAND EQ - The tone stack is a highly modified version of the Traynor TS style that has been fine-tuned for a wider range and a more even control.
BASS - Ranges from fully rolled off to blowing up your amplifier's input.
MIDDLE - Ranges from the perfect scoop to in-your-face clangs.
TREBLE - Ranges from smooth rolled off sounds to shattered glass intensity.
GUITAR USAGE?
IMMACULATE RAPTURE! was designed for Bass, but there are no rules and you can try it on Guitar or any other instrument.
The important notes are:
- There is a lot of distortion, even realtively low on the DISTORTION knob settings, Depending on other knob settings, and your amplifier, the distortion character may feel slightly fuzzy or gritty or spitty.
- The EQ is optimized for Bass, so you should expect the best EQ settings for other instruments to look unusual and to need to experiment.
- Try the full range of the MIDDLE knob, from all the way down to all the way up.
- Use TREBLE to tame fizz.
- Use ATTACK to influence the feel of the midrange, and character of the distortion.
POWER
Standard 'Boss-style' 9V DC Power with a Center Negative tip.
The current draw is 6 mA.
Do not exceed 9V.
No option for battery power.
