The Eyrie is an elevated look at the old plastic Kay tremolo from the 1960s. The Kay circuit creates a psychedelic choppy pulse, but with many logistical drawbacks. The original could only be turned on or off by hand, had decreased output volume, and the tremolo speed could only be set by the foot treadle.

The Eyrie has resolved these quirks while remaining full of vibe and character. Make no mistake though, the Eyrie is not a utility tremolo or a jack of all trades. It is a unique sonic flavor that just might transport you to another dimension.

RATE - Takes you from a steady pulse to lightspeed choppiness.

DEPTH - The original circuit was hardwired to a high depth setting, but now you can decide to make it more subtle or even more extreme.

GAIN - The Kay tremolo lightly distorts the signal, in a subtle but not ideal way. With the Eyrie, the GAIN can be all the way down for a cleaner sparkly sound, or cranked up for a trashy and unique overdrive, reminiscent of maxing out a mixing board input and other old school techniques for pushing electronics beyond their means in the name rock n' roll.

LEVEL - Output volume with plenty of boost available.

EXP - The Expression Jack allows the rate to be controlled by foot just like the original. The favorite expression pedal around Dead Air is the Dunlop DVP4 Volume (X) Mini Pedal. Expression pedals have a wide range of potentiometer values and some may work better than others.

Standard 'Boss-style' 9V DC Power with a Center Negative tip.
Do not exceed 9V.
No option for battery power.
